The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya is home to a four months old black rhino named Nicky. Living with the Watson family since he was one month old, the family and his caretakers are doing everything they can to ensure that this crucial member of a fast dying species survives in spite of his blindness.

Photos were released yesterday showing 1,400-kilo rhinos dangling from cords tied to their ankles, as a military helicopter worked to carry the herd of to their new home, away from poachers.
Poaching is already known to be a big threat to the survival of wild animals and it proved to be the biggest threat ever for Rhinos of South Africa in 2010 when at least 333 were killed by poachers. Of these 10 were critically endangered black Rhinos.
