Baby Panda ‘Fu Hu’, who was born last year, was photographed experiencing the joy of his first snowfall after spending last winter in a birthing box.
The fluffy guy and his parents currently live at Vienna’s Schönbrunn Zoo. Fu Hu was born on August 23, 2010 127 days after mother Yang Yang mated with male Long Hui. The cub was born without artificial insemination, which is extremely rare for pandas in captivity.
His parents were transferred from China to Schoennbrunn zoo in 2003 and are on loan to Austria for 10 years.
The last Panda born in a zoo in Europe was the one born in a Madrid zoo in 1982.
