Things got a little exciting for travellers at Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne Australia this morning after a Kangaroo was found hopping around the car park.
Police and wildlife officials were called after the eastern grey roo was spotted on the pedestrian bridge headed into the airport.
Enforcement officers barricaded the animal in one section of the carpark before it was sedated. Likely scared, the poor roo damaged his nails during his hop around the lot and will need to be monitored, Airport spokeswoman Anna Gillett told the Courier Mail
“There are a number of kangaroos around the airport and some living on the land,” Ms Gillett said.
“It is very unusual for them to get into the carpark though.”
On October 21 last year a kangaroo made it to level five of the carpark before it was sedated by a ranger and taken to a nearby shelter.
