Chinese Fishermen Caught with Thousands of Pounds of Pangolin Meat

Twelve Chinese fishermen, who were initially caught in Philippines for fishing in the nation’s exclusive economic zone, shocked the world, when it was found that they were carrying thousands of pounds of pangolin meat with them. Pangolins have been a protected animal in international trade since 2002.


Cambodia Steps in to Help Injured Pangolins

Even as Cambodia continues to battle the illegal wildlife trade, a new rehabilitation center was opened in the country to care for the pangolins that were injured and had been rescued from wildlife traffickers.


110 Pangolins Rescued in Thailand

Thai custom officials saved the lives of at least 110 pangolins when they stopped a poacher from shipping the animals out of the country for illegal sale. According to the officials the pangolins were worth $35,000.
